In 1945, in the midst of an economic crisis following WWII, twenty exhibitions opened in Livorno. This modern renaissance saw the birth of new galleries, schools and artistic movement, testifying the town's indespensable attention towards the arts. Today, in a similar moment of crisis and insecurity caused by the Covid-19 situation, the Comune di Livorno inaugurates 'Progressiva', an exhibition that ,today as in 75 years ago, signals the urgency to start again and pay omage to the arts.
